The future....

I just read The Coming Death Shortage article. WOW! The gut feeling I had was nervousness, for the future. The article states, that there will be an "acute shortage of dead people". It is strange to think about a shortage of dead people, but it makes sense. It brings up the question that has been asked in many different ways, how far should science go? But, I don't think we can focus on how to stop the science which allows people to live longer, I think we need to focus on how to adapt to a changing population, an aging population. So, in education how do we prepare students for this?

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? I don't know the answer, but I think part of the answer is talking about this openly with students and our community. That article certainly seems to relate to Biology class . . .
